Weekly Report and Reflection Blog #4

My Sincere Greetings to Everyone

Every day is a new learning experience for everyone on that note this week we were able to discover about curating tools and different book marking strategies.  I use different webs all the time and if I feel that is important for me then I would just add to my book mark, then it would take me longer time to go through all of the webs because I would normally have a huge list and have to wait until everything loads. I was so happy to find out that there is different options that I can consider for books marking.

This week I learned about Diigo which allows you to take notes and highlight various information on web pages. You can then bookmark and save this information for additional review, while adding tags to characterize everything in certain orders. Another amazing things that I discovered was that bookmarking allows you to share any information with people around the world.  You can bookmark and save any information that you desire for further review.  All of this information can be saved online and can be accessed by any computer, cell phones and any other digital tools. You can also take notes by using a sticky note and you can move it anywhere on the web so that in the future you can have access to it.

This will benefit me while I ‘am doing a research assignments or essays because this allows me to organize all the notes in order and this allows me to perform well. It allows me to compare all the notes in order and have easy access to all the information.
According to Beth “for some staff members, content curation can be professional of learning. Professional development used to be about getting trained or acquiring a specific skill”. People can use this for a professional purpose and can really benefit from this.

Over all I had an amazing experience by learning about new tools and can’t wait for another week. Thank you
